On January 1st, 2010, it was only a week from Christmas Day. It is called Solemnity of Mary, a Holy Day of Obligation. I sang the 7PM mass that night. Afterward, I was in a happy mood and wanted to go take pictures with my family and the nativity set. But as I was running around with my $99 red camera, I heard the voice say to me, in my heart, “Go! Go take a picture of Mother Mary’s status!”
What? Why! I’m thinking to myself what a request at a time like this to myself to go take a picture of a statue while I was trying to take pictures of the nativity and me and so forth. While I was busy and ignoring my request (I thought it was my request, until…) but the voice in my heart kept louder and louder and urged me with more urgency to “go take the picture of Mother Mary NOW!”
Fine! I said and ran out of the big church, ran around the corner to the long hallway, pushed the heavy door to the garden and ran past the water fountain and raised up my camera and took a fast shot of Mother Mary Status. I Looked at the replay of the shot to make sure it was good and planned to run back to the church to take pictures of the family and the nativity by the altar.
Shocked! when I looked at the picture on my little screen on the back of my little digital camera, I couldn’t believe what I saw. So, I raised up my camera again and took several more shots, some fast and some holding still, trying to recreate what my first shot was, but I couldn’t. Even today, I still couldn’t.
It was a glowing Mother Mary. It was around 8:15PM because the mass was finished around 8:05PM.
I even dedicated a site to the image. I printed many cards and gave them all out. People asked for them. Some even asked for large prints. I would direct them to the site All Rosary Makers to get the original image and print it as they wish.
For Mother Mary’s glowing picture, go to All Rosary Makers and you will send it.
